Choosing the right day program for a loved one is a significant decision. We are here to guide you through every step of the process, ensuring that Hope Springs Farm is a place where your family member can truly blossom. Our enrollment process is designed to be transparent, supportive, and focused on the unique needs of every "Grower."

Who Can Become a Grower?

Hope Springs Farm serves adults (ages 18+) with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism. As a licensed Adult Training Facility through the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, we work with individuals who find joy and purpose in an outdoor, farm-based environment.

Age

Individuals must be 18 years or older.

Diagnosis

Primary diagnosis of an intellectual or developmental disability.

Safety

Participants must be able to safely engage in farm-based activities with staff support.

Funding

We accept various waiver funding options; please contact our office for a current list of accepted supports.

Your Path to Enrollment

  • Step 1: Initial Inquiry

    Start the conversation by filling out our online inquiry form or calling our office. We’ll discuss your loved one’s interests, needs, and current availability in our program.

  • Step 2: The Farm Tour

    We invite you and your family member to visit Hershey for a tour. Experience the greenhouse, meet the alpacas, and see our Growers in action to determine if our farm setting feels like the right fit.

  • Step 3: Application & Assessment

    If we move forward, we will provide a comprehensive application packet. Our staff will conduct a review and assessment to develop a tailored Individualized Program Plan (IPP) for the new Grower.

  • Step 4: Welcome to the Farm

    Once all paperwork and funding are finalized, we set a start date! Every new Grower begins with a transition period to ensure they feel comfortable and confident in their new daily rhythm.
